Inspiring the next generation of #EventProfs

Last Friday (13 February), innovision’s Project Coordinator Rosie Wynne represented the agency at Moreton Hall’s Careers Convention to give school leavers (16-18 year olds) an insight into the events industry, as well as the exciting projects that innovision is involved in. Here, she tells us about her day…

As an Old Moretonian myself, it felt like I’d stepped back in time as I drove through the school gates once again. Just six years ago, I attended the school’s Careers Convention with little idea of what career path to pursue. So I knew just how it felt to be in the girls’ shoes, which is exactly why I was keen to get involved – to advise and inspire the next generation of Moretonians who were considering a career in the events industry.

The day was a huge success and extremely rewarding for everyone involved. I spoke to about a dozen girls, many of whom already had extensive work experience in events, and all of which were full of enthusiasm for the careers that lie ahead of them.

My advice? You can never have too much work experience. Grasp each opportunity with both hands and, above all, enjoy it!
