innovision has helped to deliver UK Trade & Investment’s programme of GREAT Weeks during the World Expo in Milan from May to October 2015.
These activity-packed multi-sector trade missions represented outstanding opportunities for UK companies to access substantial business prospects, major buyers and potential partners from around the world.
Each GREAT Week’s tailored business programme was designed to supply the tools and knowledge for UK businesses to seize the opportunity for expansion overseas. Activities included thought-leadership conferences, VIP networking receptions, market briefings and one-to-one buyer meetings.
Each week was dedicated to showcasing UK expertise within a specific sector, including: Food & Drink; Sustainability; Agri-Tech; Creative Industries; and Healthcare & Life Sciences.
As event delivery partner for UKTI’s Global Events & Missions Programme, innovision has delivered several GREAT Weeks across South America and EMEA within the last three years. The GREAT Weeks programme at Milan Expo was an opportunity to leverage that experience and expert guardianship of the GREAT Weeks brand, while dovetailing with and supporting the government’s wider Grown in Britain & Northern Ireland Global Business Programme.
innovision’s responsibilities spanned the full production process – from event marketing and customer acquisition, through to delegate management, digital and social engagement, creative collateral and environmental design, content development, full technical production, and onsite logistics and event management.
The GREAT Weeks in Milan supported the government’s wider Grown in Britain & Northern Ireland Global Business Programme – a series of events designed to promote Britain’s innovation and expertise across industries. To date, the Programme has delivered £531 million of business for UK companies, with more than 21,000 companies having been assisted at 104 Global Business Programme events, including the intense programme in Milan itself.
