London-based creative experience agency innovision is proud to be named an Official Supporter of British House – the UK’s home away from home at Rio 2016.
During the Olympic Games, British House will be the place to celebrate the sporting achievements of Team GB along with the expertise, creativity and dynamism of the UK and its capital, London. The guiding principles of British House are to celebrate, inspire and collaborate.
innovision has been appointed by the Founding Partners – the UK Government’s GREAT Britain campaign, the Greater London Authority and the British Olympic Association – to lead on the campaign delivery, from brand identity and strategic planning, through to content, event management & production, environmental design and evaluation.
The agency has sought to create a uniquely British experience at every touchpoint; a true ‘home away from home’ for our Olympians and a warm and welcoming place for international guests to experience GREAT British creativity, culture and innovation.
The House will be located in the historic Parque Lage for the duration of the Olympic Games (5 – 21 August). Nestled at the foot of the Corcovado Mountain with spectacular views of Rio’s iconic Christ the Redeemer statue from the expansive central Courtyard, this magnificent 19th Century stone mansion offers an incredible ‘wow’ moment for all attending.
British House will offer a captivating and innovative programme of sporting, social, cultural and business events over the 17 days.
British House has been specially designed by innovision to channel a ‘relaxed’ Great Britain, in celebration mode. The dynamic, engaging and exclusive venue will boast the very best in British style.
The campaign logo (created by British illustrator, Caroline Tomlinson) and brand identity – a celebratory version of the British flag – has defined the agency’s communications and environmental design.
The architectural façade will be softened with changing colour bleeds and lighting states to enhance moments of celebration. This will position the content as king throughout – whether it is our athletes winning medals or a live performance of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, the environment will be transformed accordingly. Fabric, imagery, sculpture and wall coverings will further compliment the various lighting states.
innovision and the Founding Partners have worked together to create a powerful global platform through which to celebrate our athletes’ performances and promote all that is good about London and the UK.
The agency is itself pushing for change with an ongoing internal restructure and a new purpose-led brand positioning around the idea that “inclusivity unlocks limitless possibilities”. innovision and its Founders have long promoted inclusivity and its latest announcement is just another step towards championing a better tomorrow, for everyone.

During the Paralympic Games (7 – 18 September), British House will be housed in the Shopping Metropolitano, which overlooks the Paralympic Park and village in Barra, bringing guests from across the international Paralympic movement together.
