We gave Somerset House a distinctly carnival-esque makeover when the Brazilian Olympic Committee and Rio 2016 set up home on the Strand throughout the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

Attracting over 25,000 visitors during the Games, Casa Brasil provided an exciting display of Brazil’s rich and vibrant cultural offering and brought a slice of the next Olympic host nation to the heart of London.

The famous Brazilian hospitality could be seen all over the Casa, with free exhibitions and cultural events showcasing this vibrant nation as a modern and innovative place to do business, with a wealth of contemporary culture, art and design.

innovision, in collaboration with its Brazilian partner, SRCOM, provided all project management, design. technical production and logistics.

Casa Brasil was a complex series of events hosted by multiple stakeholders, including a high-level reception hosted by Dilma Rousseff, President of Brazil.

We also created a network of environments, which included art galleries, interactive environments promoting tourism, curated showcases promoting trade and investment, and live entertainment in the Somerset House courtyard.

Casa Brasil gave the world a sneak glimpse into what the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro might have in store…
